      <image:caption>Erika earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Elementary Special Education from Syracuse University on 2000, and then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011. Erika was born and raised on the east coast (Upstate, NY and Boston, MA), but moved west after graduating from Syracuse University. She has explored various areas of the west coast including San Francisco, Seattle, and Lake Tahoe. Erika knew she had passion for educating and helping children, so she pursued a career as a Speech and Language Pathologist. Erika began her career as an independent speech therapist in a private practice then moved onto owning her own pediatric speech therapy business in Reno, NV. Erika has experience with a variety of children with communication delays, including specific language impairment (SLI), cochlear implants, down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), phonological/ articulation delays and early intervention (birth to 3 years). Erika loves working with diverse children with diverse needs, empowering families with knowledge, continually learning and impacting lives forever through speech therapy! In her free time, she loves to cook, listen to reggae music, go “thrifting” with her teenage daughter and to do creative art projects with her Kindergartener.</image:caption>

She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2010. She has a varied background of providing services in private clinic, elementary, rehabilitation, skilled nursing settings, as well as  Early Intervention, providing speech therapy in client’s homes or in the child’s most natural environment. Maria is fluent in both Filipino and English. Maria is passionate about childhood communication and language learning disabilities. She is from South America. Adriana is fluent in English and Spanish. Adriana has been working in Early Intervention with children and their families, especially for those from non-English speaking countries. She has experience working with a wide variety of pediatric populations including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Receptive and Expressive Language Disorders, and Language Delays. Adriana enjoys working with children, and collaborating with their families as she strongly believes in the importance of Early Intervention, and its positive outcomes. In collaboration with the Clinic of Autism at UNR, she is involved in the research on “The Influence of Culture in Obtaining a Diagnosis of ASD in the Latino Families”.</image:caption>

Lesley is certified in the Intensive Therapy Thera-Suit® Method and enjoys seeing the progress children make while participating in this program.       <image:caption>Missy graduated from UNLV in 2018 with her bachelor's degree in Psychology. She was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, but moved to the Reno/Sparks area after graduating College to follow her High School Sweetheart. She has been working with kids since a young age, and was a full-time Nanny before transitioning to Preschool. Missy worked as a Lead Teacher for three years with children aged 18 months-24 months. Missy loves working with the 0–3-year-old population, and is very excited to use her expertise to continue to help families learn and grow. In her free time, you can often find her outdoors hiking, biking, or running.  When she is not outside,  she's probably relaxing by creating art with at least one cat on her lap. She enjoys painting landscapes and drawing grayscale pencil art.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Kendall received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology &amp; Audiology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with children and adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings. Kendall has previously worked as a Registered Behavior Technician with children with Autism and most recently worked as a teacher/program coordinator for alternative outdoor education. She is very excited to be a part of the learning process with littles and their families in the Early Intervention setting. In her free time, Kendall loves to be cozy at home reading a book or in the mountains camping and swimming in the lake.</image:caption>

Kenia moved to Reno, NV in 2005 and has worked as a facilitator for the WCSD and as an independent interpreter and translator. She become a Medical Interpreter and Translator in 2016.       <image:caption>Sean has been working in ABA in the Reno area for over 15 years. He has provided ABA services in homes, the community, assisted living arrangements, schools, and clinics across a variety of roles including direct sessions, supervision, caregiver training, staff training, and consultations. He has worked primarily with children ages 3-10, but has provided these services even for individuals as old as 32 and with a wide variety of diagnoses. Prior to entering the world of ABA, he taught dance, parkour, and gymnastics for individuals with a variety of disabilities and diagnoses as well. He enjoys music, board games, and horror movies.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ashlyn has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for the past 10 years. Based in the Reno area, she has provided ABA services across a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and clinics. Her experience primarily includes working with school-aged children with disabilities. She has additionally done early intervention and worked with both teens and adults. Throughout her career, Ashlyn has taken on multiple roles, including providing direct services, supervision, caregiver training, and staff consultations. She is passionate about delivering compassionate care and using play-based therapy that follows the child’s lead.  Outside of her work in ABA, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her dog, exploring the Reno/Tahoe area and visiting family in the Bay Area.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Dr. Rachel Cornelius is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist. She earned her PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University in 2017, her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duquesne University in 2002. Dr. Cornelius previously lived and worked in Western Pennsylvania as a Licensed Social Worker. She specialized in providing in-home treatment to children and adolescents with severe behavioral challenges. In fact, her work with children with unidentified Autism Spectrum Diagnoses led her to return to school and pursue her doctoral degree, during which time she specialized in psychological assessment. She relocated to Colorado to complete her internship, during which time she specialized pediatric integrative care, treatment of refugee families, and assessment. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at a community mental health center, after which time she transitioned to a practice specializing in assessment of children, adolescents and adults with various diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and PTSD. She relocated to Reno NV in 2019 and began providing therapy and assessment for children and adolescents within a hospital system. She joined the APT team in October 2022.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Mario J Gaspar de Alba is Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Division Chief of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. He is devoted to educating residents and medical students about appropriate early child development, recognition of deviance from expected, and the vital importance of early intervention and its impact on future quality of life issues. His main interests within the field of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics include autism, learning disabilities, and ADHD. Dr. Gaspar de Alba completed his pediatrics residency at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM during which time he became interested in the field of child development. He went on to complete his subspecialty in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Center for Development and Learning/Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As part of his subspecialty training he had the opportunity to participate in and complete the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) training program and believes strongly that children with special health care needs are best served through interdisciplinary collaboration and a family focused approach. In the past he has been a speaker at several professional development and community meetings as well as parent organizations in an effort to improve interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthen family support. He continues to strive to create a culture of collaboration in his teaching responsibilities at the school of medicine and in the community. Dr. Gaspar de Alba will be participating in monthly pediatric clinics at our facility! Dr. Gaspar de Alba will be seeing our children for autism assessment, FAS diagnoses, developmental delay, medically fragile, helping facilitate outside referrals to specialty out of state clinics, as well as collaborating with genetic clinics.</image:caption>
