Dr. Rachel Cornelius

Dr. Rachel Cornelius is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist. She earned her PsyD in Counseling Psychology from Carlow University in 2017, her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Duquesne University in 2002. Dr. Cornelius previously lived and worked in Western Pennsylvania as a Licensed Social Worker. She specialized in providing in-home treatment to children and adolescents with severe behavioral challenges. In fact, her work with children with unidentified Autism Spectrum Diagnoses led her to return to school and pursue her doctoral degree, during which time she specialized in psychological assessment. She relocated to Colorado to complete her internship, during which time she specialized pediatric integrative care, treatment of refugee families, and assessment. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at a community mental health center, after which time she transitioned to a practice specializing in assessment of children, adolescents and adults with various diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and PTSD. She relocated to Reno NV in 2019 and began providing therapy and assessment for children and adolescents within a hospital system. She joined the APT team in October 2022.
